I just have to say that Vern and Chris along with Stacey the hula dancer (a.k.a. Peanut) were the perfect accompaniment to my husband Joel's 4oth birthday party. They were all very professional, prompt, talented and funny. We enjoyed listening to their harmonious music and watching the beautiful and joyful Stacey, dance away. All of our guests will be talking about this for a long time. They were a huge part in the success and magic of the day. Thank you and Mahalo!

Manlay should add to story about how the Porkagezz brought the instruments to HI but left before they taught anyone to tune them. I love the way he tells that story. Hey Vern Howya Doing! Long time no jam! Hope everything is going great... have a happy holidays! We gotta get together with all da guys from NKK - Steve, Kala, Royce and Me and have a Jambque or a Pickin' Potluck. We had a great time the last time we jammed with Vince and Richard at the Hukilau.
I've be over the hill a couple of times and jammed with a bunch of friends who are in bluegrass/mountain music bands. I usually pull out the ukulele or 12 when I play with them.

Long story short, the first band my future husband asked to play at our 250-person wedding flaked with less than a month to go before our big day. I was in a panic and told him, "Just find me a slack-key guitarist - it's all on you."
So, I didn't get to hear Vern play until I began my walk down the aisle. And he was AMAZING. The best wedding present ever.
Fellow brides, if you want that "My life is a movie and I love the soundtrack" feeling on your wedding day - I recommend Vern enthusiastically and without reservation!
